Hat Fair Festival (2017) Photgraphy: Adrienne Photography

In 2017, I co-produced the renowned Hat Fair's Fringe Festival, showcasing student and graduate performances. The fringe programme spans across theatre, live art, installation, dance, poetry and more.

Hat Fair is the largest outdoor's festival in the UK, based in Winchester and takes place every summer across the city. Artists and companies from across the globe come to perform.

Working closely with Hat Fair's Artistic Director, Andrew Loretto, and co-producer Cherry Lambert, we produced the Fringe Festival. This included planning, designing, budgeting, marketing and programming the festival, featuring theatre companies such as Rendered Retina.

Every day, all the fringe performers, Hat Fair team and audiences would gather in the Shopping Centre for Morning Clubbing. We'd throw on a silly costume and boogie at 9am!

I also organised the Young Critic's Scheme; this was an opportunity for students to learn about theatre criticism and to review shows at Hat Fair. All the Young Critics received mentoring from Megan Vaughan.
